Gene Clark With The Gosdin Brothers (1967)
After leaving the Byrds, Gene Clark went solo, hooking up with the Gosdins (and a slurry of future-famous session men) for his debut. Together they created a fine country pop record for dope smokers. Gene tried so hard but never really made the big time. He did however create some great music. Drugs and booze took him to an early death at 46.
This record was later repackaged in 1972 as 'Early LA Sessions' with re-recorded/remixed parts (and omitting "Elevator Operator"?).
