The Sick Rose 'Faces' (1986)
Though recorded in the most basic fashion, this collection of a dozen tracks is a heavy-weight contender for most consistently meaty garage record ever. There's a bit of melodic garage-pop in "Everybody Wants To Know" and "I'm Not Trying To Hurt You", while the remainder of the LP blasts into orbit fueled by super-fuzzed guitars and Luca Re's snotty, yet engaging vocals. Though he sings in English, a thick Italian accent flavors all of his vocal work giving the band the European flavor that helped to set them apart from the pack.
