The Stooges (1969) We at thee head vein would consider life no fun if this caterwauling, wah-wah-laden, punk rocker didn't make an appearance on this blog. After all, we wanna be your dog!
Iggy and the Stooges 'I'm Sick Of You!' (1981) In honor of my 100th post I offer you this consolation prize! From the liner notes by Oliver Trellkow: "These titles were recorded around 1973, in a basement, by James Williamson. The songs "I Got A Right" and "Gimme Some Skin" (this version still gives me chills!—ed.) were already released in 1977 as a single which topped the alternative charts on both sides of the Atlantic. We picked two different versions from our very own vaults. The title "I'm Sick of You" was part of a Bomp EP together with "Tight Pants" and "The Scene Of The Crime." And the remaining songs "Consolation Prizes" and "Johanna" were already on the legendary 'Kill City' album, although they were differently mixed and they were alternative takes anyway. Definitely not polished, not properly mixed, not Dolby-D, but with balls. Listen"
