Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White

The Nomads 'Outburst' (1984)
Being a hardcore kid in Idaho during the early 80's was not always easy, but luckily I had a good record store where I could take refuge. The two guys working behind the counter helped expand my musical horizons beyond my need for speed. Two records really stood out for me from that time. The first was The Lyres 'On Fyre' and the other was this Nomads record. I remember "Don't Tread on Me" blasting from the speakers and I bought the album right then. They might wear their Standells/Kinks/etc. influences on their sleeves, but they wear them well. I saw them live in the late eighties and they hadn't changed a bit. Lowdown shakin' chills!

I love your blog thank you. So far probably grabbed every single post and listen to it at work and it's supercool. And guess what, I mostly like noisy music.
