Poison 13 'self-titled' (1984) and 'First You Dream...' (1985)
These two sleazy slabs of trash came out during the twilight of hardcore. No HC here, just blues-soaked garage punk grunge. That's right, these records influenced future Seattle grunge stars! Their self-titled debut is a hellbound train of 13 tracks. I prefer the follow up mini-LP as it contains my fave track "Strange Movies". Dangerous!
During a break from The Big Boys, Tim started Poison 13 with Mike Carroll. This band saw Tim moving away from hardcore frenzy, to swim in the swampy waters of the blues. They were too bluesy for punk lovers and too punk for the blues lovers. Their first shows were only witnessed by a hearty few.
Even with only two records released, the band gained a good reputation with their original raw and piercing sound. - Tim Kerr dot net
