So mystifying

The Kinks 'You Really Got Me' (1964)
It's been said that Dave Davies created the distorted guitar sound for "You Really Got Me" by slicing his amp cone with a razor blade, and it's rumoured that the song's solo work was done by Jimmy Page (Page denies doing the solo). Despite being one of the finest rock songs ever, it's just one of several terrific songs on the Kinks debut album, a slam-bang trip of rhythm and blues proportion. These rips come from a 1988 vinyl reissue on Rhino which used the American cover, but the original UK tracklist.

Dear thee head vein,

first I want to emphasize the big amount of work you are doing quite long and giving us so much fun with your blog.

As for this very release, could you please explain why you included only 14 tracks while the Rhino original has 17 tracks, and the remaining tracks 15-17 are not marked as bonus tracks. Could someone give some light upon this?
Maybe 1964 original has only 14 tracks, many thanks to everyone who supplies some definite information.

Anyway thanks once again and good luck to you,

anti-hero:
I don't know anything about the 17 track edition. As stated the vinyl I have only has the 14 tracks of the original UK LP. I don't even see on the net that this record is even in print at this time.
Anyhow, here is some info from Wikipedia:

Thanks for the info and for stopping over, cheers!

This is the original UK release known as "Kinks" in the UK and everywhere but the USA, where it is known as "You Really Got Me" and is shortened in length.

Much the same way that all the early Beatles UK albums were shortened and retitled in the USA
