Savior machine

Redd Kross 'Teen Babes From Monsanto' (1984)
Ex-Black Flag singer Dez Cadena had already come and gone through Redd Kross by the time Geza X produced the seven-song 'Teen Babes From Monsanto.' Running strictly on wicked irreverence, the McDonalds and drummer Dave Peterson turn the spotlight on various musical victims, and the Redd Kross living jukebox bangs out loud and convincing covers of Kiss ("Deuce"), the Stones ("Citadel"), Stooges ("Ann"), Bowie ("Savior Machine") and others, leaving "Linda Blair 1984" the sole original. A record of the ultimate bratty garage band in its element. - trouser press

YES!!! THERE IS A GOD!!!!

Thank you so much for posting this (and in a decent bit rate). I played my original vinyl to death years ago then, to add insult to injury, lost it in a house fire. I once located an original cassette of it on eBay once and really had a hard-on for it because it listed "Saturday Night" which I assumed was a Bay City Rollers cover...cool cassette bonus track right? It arrived with "Saturday Night" listed on the J-card but not on the tape. A couple of years later I e-mailed Jeff McDonald about it and he said that they worked on it for the record but never made it to a final take. He said he wasn't sure how the title ended up on the tape. It turned out to be a double kick in the nuts because the tape sounded like shit...a typical Enigma/Restless cheap-o job. Anyway...

Thanks again for the memories...gonna listen to this one all day at work tomorrow.

One of the greatest and most underrated bands ever. I like the latest records more, though.
Your site is awesome, I put it on my favorites.
If you can read spanish, take a look at my flog:
